embroidery
Embroidery gives your branding a polished, premium finish that lasts the distance. Whether it’s uniforms, hats, jackets or hospitality gear, this method adds texture, impact, and durability that ink-based printing can’t match.

What is EMbroidery?
Embroidery is the process of stitching your logo or design directly into fabric using high-quality thread. The design becomes part of the garment — not just printed on top — which makes it incredibly durable, professional-looking, and resistant to wear.
Embroidery works well on
- Polo shirts
- Caps & Beanies
- Jackets & Vests
- Hi Vis & safety workwear
- hospitality uniforms
- bags & backpacks
If you're unsure whether a garment is suitable for embroidery, just ask — we’ll guide you.
When Should I Choose embroidery?
Embroidery is ideal when:
- You're after a premium, professional finish
- Your design is 1–12 solid colours
- You want high durability for frequent washing and wear
- You're decorating structured garments (like polos, caps, jackets, etc.)
- You need long-term branding that won’t fade, peel, or crack
It’s the industry standard for:
- Corporate uniforms
- Hospitality & retail staffwear
- Trades & workwear branding
- Beanies, caps & headwear
- Branded outerwear & vests
- Premium promotional items
Key Benefits
- Clean, textured finish with depth and dimension
- Extremely durable — won’t fade, crack or peel over time
- Great for small logos and chest placements
- Thread colour-matching available
- Looks sharp on a wide range of fabrics
- Suitable for repeat reorders
Things to Know
- Digitising is required — a one-time setup fee to convert your design to stitch format
- Embroidery is not suitable for gradients or fine shading
- Small text or thin lines may need to be adjusted for clarity
- Embroidery adds weight to lightweight garments
- Large embroidered areas can feel stiff on some fabrics
- We’ll always advise you if your design needs tweaking or if another method is a better fit.
Care Instructions
- Cold wash only
- Do not bleach
- Do not iron directly on embroidery
- Line dry preferred
- Do not dry clean or tumble dry at high heat
Treat your garments well and embroidery will hold up longer than nearly any other branding method.
Pricing Notes
Embroidery pricing is based on:
- Stitch count — the more stitches, the higher the cost
- Volume — the more you order, the better the unit pricing
- Digitising setup fee — charged once per new design, per size.
- There are no reset fees for repeat orders using the same design, but prices may vary if your order quantity changes.
We’ll quote you clearly, upfront — and if embroidery isn’t the most cost-effective method, we’ll suggest a better option.
FAQ Highlights
What is digitising, and do I have to pay for it?
Digitising converts your design into a file our embroidery machines can read. It’s a one-time setup fee per design — we store it for future use.
What’s the smallest text you can embroider?
We recommend text no smaller than 5mm in height for legibility. We’ll let you know if changes are needed.
Can you match my brand colours?
Yes — we use thread colour charts and can match to Pantone references or brand guidelines where available.
What file types should I provide?
Vector files like AI, EPS or PDF are best. If you don’t have one, we can help convert your file — fees may apply.
Can I embroider on my own garments?
Yes — but we’ll need to check suitability first. Some fabrics may not handle embroidery well or could be difficult to hoop.
Can I embroider on hats and caps?
Definitely. Embroidery is the go-to method for headwear branding.
