What is sublimation?
Sublimation is a high-definition printing process that uses heat to fuse ink directly into the fabric - rather than printing on top. The result? Colours become part of the fabric itself. No cracking, no peeling, and a finish that’s featherlight and ultra-durable.

Things to Know
Requires Special Garments
You can’t just sublimate onto any off-the-shelf tee. Garments are made to order and we will help you source them.
Not Ideal for Small Customisation
Sublimation is typically used when the entire garment is being custom printed
Full custom prints = Early Setup
Sublimated garments are made to order. More often than not, the prinitng is complete, before garments are asembled. This means turn around times are a lot longer than other methods. Allow 6 - 12 weeks from artwork approval.
Every Print Is Unique
Designs are printed onto fabric panels, then sewn together—so slight placement variations are normal and expected
Care Instructions
- Cold wash
- Avoid bleach or harsh detergents
- Do not iron over the print
- Line dry for best results
Your print will stay bold for a long time if you treat it right.
Pricing Notes
Sublimation Printing Costs are based on:
Pricing depends on both garment type and order volume — larger quantities generally reduce the cost per unit.
Because sublimated garments are often produced offshore, freight can influence unit pricing, even if it’s not itemised separately. Bigger orders tend to help balance out those logistics costs.
Design fees may apply if you need help setting up or creating your artwork.
The more you order, the cheaper the price per unit
We’ll quote you clearly, upfront - and if sublimation isn’t the most cost-effective method, we’ll suggest a better option.
FAQ Highlights
Can I Sublimate on Cotton?
No – sublimation only works on polyester fabric. For cotton garments, consider DTF or screen printing instead.
Do I Have to Choose from Pre-Made Sublimation Templates?
Not at all. We can start from a blank canvas or help you build your design based on your branding. We’ll even match your colours using Pantone references if available.
What’s the Turnaround Time?
Sublimation can take longer than other methods (8 - 12 weeks from approval), especially as garments are custom-made. Chat with us early in your planning so we can meet your timeline.
